Soooo.... Phil the weather is changing, want to start picks on hard water :?: You hard water fisherman (and women) :P make it look like fun, I'm gonna try it with my grandsons this year. :big-grin:

looking for fishable ice by Dec. 26, this will be the first year I will not need the Web-cams to watch the ice form just have to look out the window.

Well, let's see some more "guesses, predictions, etc." for first ice here. It's just around the corner. Let's use the rules from years past if that's OK.
Pick a date that the lake freezes over, from the view of both cams and stays that way for a period of 1 week. If one cam fails, we will look at the other; if both fail we will not have a contest.

Based on my long range weather forecast model and good use of my intuition and just plain trying to get lucky I will pick January 7, 2013!

I'm going with 12-17-2012. That will get us on the ice the week of XMAS.
