Edwardsville Corner Store
Hey gals and guys - any new information on what type of store will be forthcoming at Edwardsville? Since my cottage is closed for the season, I don't get hardly any chance of knowing whats happening up there in Gods country. Catch & Release!!

Re: Edwardsville Corner Store
If that's what will replace the corner store it's a sad day for Edwardsville. It will more than likely not last, just like when there was a fast food setup for a few months.
I'm still hoping for a nice diner or restaurant that can cater to all the seasons. Then again, just refurbishing that store removes the eye sore that now exists. Catch & Release!!!!

Was by there two days ago - not much action - looks on hold. They did some rafter work, covered the roof with plastic (looks like a long term/temporary cover) and boarded up the windows.

What a shame, who the hell gets their hair done at Black Lake?Waste of money, should be a coin operated laundry mat.Much more profititable in my opinion for all the seasonal campers

Boats - you are absolutely on target - a laundry facility would definitly be more worthwhile and profitable. Catch & Release!!!!

There was a coin-op laundry at the light at 37&6 in Hammond, is it still in operation?
The second amendment is in place, in case THEY decide to ignore all the others.

Re: Edwardsville Corner Store
The laundry in Hammond appears to be closed. First time I noticed that was about two years now . Actually I don't care if there is a laundry at the Edwardsville corner or not. Just can't imagine that location to end up being used for a stupid salon. Another suggestion would be a marine engine repair shop of some sort. That would definitely blend in the area and would be real asset to the area.

Duncan Doughnuts could provide for the Duck Hunters and the Ice fishermen. Any old or unsold doughnuts could feed the ducks and other birds. The more I think about it, a marine engine repair shop would be the most beneficial to the area. Catch and Release!!!!

Had to chuckle - How about a Fresh Fish Store so nobody has to go home empty handed. Could be a busy place no matter what time of the year it is.
