The ice is nice, after that little warm up - snow and slush is gone and the is a good hard 5-6" in most areas. Most folks reporting a tough/slow bite. I can echo that. Fish do seem aggressive at all.

Here's a little Crappie from today. Got out on Rollaway today with a couple friends. Ice was 6" plus and hard and building. ATVs running all over the lake there.

Did not measure or weigh it. I think I'd give it 14.5" Maybe a bit more. Yes, lure with no bait.

Not really well. Lots of open areas on the main lake with a nasty shoreline in most areas. I'm not going out till we get a few days of cold weather. It'd be different if it was last ice and not first ice. Just not good, in my opinion.chris14race wrote:how is the ice holding up with this warmer weather?

The weather is back in the ice-making business. Be back out there soon. I heard rumors the Crappie bite was on.
