As of May 4 the nice green weeds are just starting to come up in the back bays, but there isn't a lot of life yet. Water temp 54. There are some bass up shallow. Pike are post-spawn. Crappie aren't shallow just yet, but close. Perch are everywhere.

Even though the ice went out early, the weather has been cold. Nights are still in the mid 30s. It feels like Spring is just a week or two behind this year. Water levels and clarity seem normal.

Should be a good year for fishing!
