The Forestport Gang May 12 - 14 we use live minnows , 4 of us fished Friday , water very high , not a bad day weather wise , but not too many bites caught 6 fish 3 pike 10" to 17" , 2 bullheads 13" , and a LM bass 17" , Sat . cool and raining in the morning very few bites , but caught nothing , in the late afternoon its like a switch went off , and the hits came caught 14 fish , 10 pike 16" - 28" 3 bullhead 13" - 14" and 1 LM bass 16" Sunday morning caught 6 fish 6 pike 17" - 231/2 "...... so 26 fish and as always catch and release , another beautiful trip to Black lake ....

thanks mops - we're locked & loaded, where did you get the bullhead and on what?

with the live minnows, were you fishing for crappie?

we caught the bullheads all over using 6" minnows , we are fishing for pike , cats , or whatever bites .. seems funny but we have been catching bullheads on 6" minnows for a few years now , and all in the daytime .... the water is very high so we were closer to shore than usual ... good luck to you all ..
