Slow Summer

Post by BassAkwards » Thu Jul 28, 2016 7:35 pm

Spent a few days up at BL this past week. Fished Saturday-Thursday. Bass fishing was definitely slow for us. Fished early AM till lunch. Then about 5pm-dark. We tried a variety of lures/techniques, but limited success. We had 3 bass over 3lbs in 5 days with our biggest being a 4lb smallie. Been coming up here twice a year for about 5-6 years and this has to be one of our slowest weeks ever. We pulled out and hit up the St. Lawrence Wednesday night, the lady at the bait store over there said she heard BL was really turning on and she was hearing good reports, unfortunately for us... we just could get on the bass this year.

Could be the bad moon phase, warm water temps, blue bird skies, or just bad luck.
