fished the opening week of bass, had nice weather for the most part tuesday the wind kicked up pretty hard.My son and i did manage to catch 216 bass,30 pike,1 walleye 6 1/2 lbs.fishing was a little tough at times, the grass wasn't in all the spots we like to fish.when we found grass the fish were there, caught them on worms, jigs. We did real well on crank baits when the wind picked up,just had to fight the waves.not much of a top water bite all week a couple fish here or there.they stopped drawing water mid week and it took all the current away and the water rose fast.water temp was 74 to 78 depending where you were a little warmer then usual. We weighed all the bass and had a average of 1.6 lbs. not that great! All fish were released unharmed even the walleye she was close to 30inches long 18 to 22 years old egg laying machine. Will posts some pics of trip.

Nice fish Beaver.
fyi - there is no "draw" on the water in the lake, to speak of. What you witnessed was the extensive rain rising the level of the Oswegatchie River and the lake was being "filled" from both ends. 8) Happens, occasionally.

Wow, 216 bass! Now that's a fun day.
I did well yesterday throwing a rattle trap. The biggest being 4.25lb, not bad for fishing the middle of the day.
