I go to blk lk. primarily for crappie and do pretty well, but I never do well on bullhead, oh sure I'll catch a few here or there, but would love to come home with a pail or two. Can anyone suggest a hot spot for these tasty morsals?

I don't fish for them but guys in camp do. They sit in the bay South of Boman island and use leaches. If you look around you will see sticks spaced the distance of a boat width that's where they sit. Just behind a little island in the same area with a shack on it is also where I see them sit.
Good luck.

How big do the bullhead get on Black Lake? Do you have to fish for them at night, or can they be caught during the daylight hours? I have never fished for them there, but a friend who loves bullhead will be coming to Black Lake with me late June to early July.
