fishing conditions

hey guys, im new to the forum. i'm heading up to the lake mon. 9/8 with a bunch of syr. firefighters for a week. I was wondering if the gills and crappies have moved into the indian river yet?

I was in the indian river on the week of 8/22-8/31 and the only thing we caught were some really nice large mouths and a few pike no gills or crappie. The rest of the lake looked like anti-freeze and you could see your line marks in the water we fished the St. Lawrence a good bit that week and caught several nice small mouth and a few good sized northerns.
