What a week. Got to Black Lake on Saturday the 31st. We could'nt keep fish out of the boat. You name it we caught it. 3,4,5 lb bass, dog fish to many to count, perch, calico bass 15 inches, alot of northerns, and one walleye. What a gas. If you've never been to black lake and considering it. Don't even think twice if you like to fish, or even relax. I've been going for 15 yrs or more, and can't wait to get back in Auguest, All fish are back in the water to get even bigger, Catch and release. :big-grin:

Glad to hear such success. I will be up for the first time in 10 years for the last weekend in June. Any suggested spots would be appreciated. I will post results.

Will you be going after bass? If so, they are everywhere. Its really best to pick what TYPE of bass you prefer and go from there.

You can catch them on plastics in the weeds, crankbaits in the rocks, jigs on the breaks, spinnerbaits on windy shorelines, and even live bait on the shoals.

The beauty of black lake is that the fish really spread out and its not all that necessary to find super great spots .... just start fishing and see what happens!
