They must have been just outside the creek in the cut during Columbus weekend. Could not believe the # of boats fishing in such a small area.

Yeah we were in the middle of those boats Columbus day weekend, we caught a bunch but no size. Yesterday was fun, we went through 6 dozen minnows. Then we started throwing lipless crank baits with lite tackle, it was like small mouth fishing!

We also caught a bunch of 8" gills.

I fished in that area of the cut a couple of days, with a friend. Action was steady, just not much size. We caught a few over 11 but not many.
Ice is just around the corner now - 8)

Haven't been out yet. Having problems recruiting kids who are willing to go swimming in order to set my dock properly! Hopefully next week the hunt for mr. paper mouth will begin!
