fishing trip Sept. 6th - 8th

Just returned from our 3 day fall trip to black , 3 of us caught 21 overall , 1 16" smb , 1 small 11" lmb 1 18" 4lb lmb , 1 11lb catfish , 6 dogfish 14" to 25" with a 10lb er , 4 northern pike 14" to a 32" that was 8lbs and 7 perch 11" to 13 " all on minnows , and as always catch and release , great weather , fished a spot I haven't been to in about 6 years , and turned out to be the best fishing . the reg. pike bait will catch perch , so need to get the bigger ones , my 45th year of coming to black lake , and not a bad trip yet ... I'll be back in May Pat

4 of us just fished the same three days, we caught a mixed bag of 5 smallies, 8 largemouth, 1 pike, 1 rock bass, 1 big walleye that i lost at the boat :( and lost count of how many crappie but it was alot and half a dozen or so perch, and tons of sunnys.. everything was on artificials , had some worms and minnows but no luck with them.

Cw, what bait did you use for the crappie?

Small jig heads with neon yellow and pink little rubber worm.
