Arrived Sat. and launced the boat and went out Sun. morning. Had a tough time with the wind and a tougher time fishing north of the causeway. It was so bad that after the fourth day we fished the big side exclusively. The only thing we could catch on the north side we're a few pike. Did fairly good south of the causeway on smallies fishing the shoals. We could not believe how bad the weeds were and the algae bloom was still there. Our biggest largemouth was 3 lb 11 oz and a 3 lb 13 oz
smallie both caught south of the causeway bridge. Not
what we had hoped for after coming over 400 miles.

I feel your pain easyed. I also traveled over 400 miles for some fishing on Black Lake. As you can read in my early posts fishing for us and everyone I spoke to this weekend had bad reports..I guess we should of come up mid October.
