Does anyone know the final status of the access at Rollaway Bay? Last I knew the town had not finalized it's decision to transfer ownership of that access road to the campowners. Sure looks closed off to me, gated, posted, etc.
Going to disappoint a lot of ice fishers this winter.

This is the response I got from the Macomb Town Clerk -
It is currently an open court case. The town is not allowed to speak any further on the matter, sorry for the inconvenience.

Have camp nearby and spoke with one owner as I posted in the spring. I haven't spoke with him since. I miss it in the summer as I would launch there 8-10 times a season. I do miss it but I understand his point of view as well. Lake looks locked up and ready for my auger.

I don't blame them either. They need to come up with a resolution, for sure.
My first post was not correct, at all - there is no intention of the town transferring ownership to the camp owners.
What I learned yesterday - Not going to post names, here.
There are two camp owners that erected the gate - the town has told them they can't do that, it is not legal. They have ignored the town. There is a third land owner in the area that has filed a law suit, over this gate, against the two camp owners and the town.
We really need a resolution to this.
An illegal gate is not going to solve their problem.
