Does any one know if a truck and boat trailer can be left at the launch for several days at a time?

It's controlled by the Thousand Islands Parks Dept. I would check with them.

The Route 6 Public Boat Launch is owned and operated by the New York State Department Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. You can ask your question about leaving a boat trailer (which I'm certain will be at your own risk) by calling this number:

Thousand Islands Region
(315) 482-2593

I believe I’ve seen a sign there about no parking overnight. I always thought that was for people bringing in campers. I’ve parked my vehicle and trailer there over many weekends in the past with no issues. One thing to be careful is some days the launch is packed and parking is all jacked up. I wouldn’t park it right in the main travel areas. I’ve seen too many red tail light pieces on the ground.

Ive kept my truck and trailer parked there several times for multiple days without any problem. I have never contacted parks and recreation but have been told from other sources that it is ok. I always park in the back. I don't think its needed but I leave a note with my name and phone number just in case there is an issue. If they disallowed it then there would be some upset people who have boat access only properties and pay property taxes.

Don't ask and you won't be told NO. :big-grin: There might be some risk but I would not hesitate.

I felt it was probably ok at my own risk for sure. And of course I would park out of the way. I have a camp on the lake but when alone and weather is good rather than launching daily I will leave it at my dock (no boat hoist yet).

Nice - how about a review on the salon? Name? Good work? I'm looking for a new stylist.

How much for a senior men's haircut??
Old guys might go to the new place!
If Phil needs a new stylist then I want one too!

Went through there today. The hair place is in the old bait store part of the business location. Though they have done more work on the main building - there is new roofing metal installed.

The days are getting shorter, but NOT colder for sure!
The ice is coming towards us though!

That's good news. Maybe they will use the main building for something more "lake Oriented". Again my vote is for a combination Steak house / cigar shop / whiskey bar. fingers crossed
