Is there legal access to Roll Away Bay and or Mile Arm Bay? Any parking?

No public access to Mile Arm Bay. Yes to Rollaway Bay. Have a look at this map - zoom into see the detail and read about the access areas.

Do you guys think that the sub zero temps helped the ice?

Got out yesterday afternoon and found some ice :big-grin: What a change from a week ago. Most of the snow was gone - blown away, melted, flooded out, whatever - where there was no snow we found 10-12" of good ice. Had the wheeler on tracks out there. Felt good. :big-grin:
I'd stay away from areas with a lot of snow, pressure ridges and areas that look "yellow" - my experience is that yellow snow is an indication that lake water is on top of the ice. Not a good place to be.
Be careful and be safe.

Good to hear that you were able to get out. Did you get any fish?
