If the rain was falling heavy near Watertown and East, it'll make it to the lake in a day or two.Richie from Oswego wrote:Left camp at 5:00 pm on Sunday while there was rain all around us on the radar none was falling on us at the south end. The wind seemed to be blowing in variable directions and the water was holding at the same level since Saturday morning. Lake surface temp. dropped to 73 down from 82 last weekend. The water was murky but not to bad with no signs of any green bloom at least in our end of the lake. Had to get off 81 at Watertown as the rain was just to heavy for safe driving. Don't think the heavy rain hit the lake.
I was on the south end Saturday and was amazed at "lack" of weed cover. This is a different year for the lake, that's for sure.
I'm going to have to go next month with my gps and remark all my ice-fishing spots that are on the weed bed edges.
