Lead Sinkers
Can someone please clarify for me if it is just the sale or the use altogether of lead sinkers is banned in NYS waters? I am confused and hear conflicting reports. i cannot find a concrete source online. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Lead Sinkers
Here is a link to a NY State DEC page with some info about lead sinkers.
http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/7908.html
I read, that use in NY is not restricted but recommended that none be used. For sure, the end for lead is near.

Re: Lead Sinkers
I've been stocking up on lead . I've got a friend that works at National Grid, and they've been changin out some underground wire recently that's sheathed in lead. As of right now, I've got 84lbs. I've been pouring split shot, and round ball jigs like mad for the past couple of days.ptrivilino wrote:For sure, the end for lead is near.
Also I've got some new molds coming in to get me set on my bullet sinkers, and tube jigs.
