Let the countdown begin

Post by fishinmagician » Thu Dec 16, 2010 11:56 pm

Here in the sometimes less than great state of New Jersey, we had our first snowfall.(just a dusting) but I made me start thinking of one of my favorite fishing spots. Our beloved Black Lake. Only 26 more weeks till bass season opens. Merry Christmas to all and lets keep the countdown in our thoughts.

Keep the faith, I'll help you count, just incase you might forget about bass fishing. Is that even possible?????

Well the Christmas and New Years holidays are behind us, football season is winding down, the super bowl is just around the corner. The official countdown to bass opener is just 24 weeks away. Life is good, and the fishin is even better. See ya-all on BL. It was 42 degrees today, it was 38 yesterday....it's getting warmer.

Got my trip booked for August this year. I have never fished BL that late in the season. The old lady couldn't get a full week of until then. Could have come up in early June, but bass fishing is off limits then. Hopefully the weather and algea blooms will make for descent fishing. Now to get my gear ready as I only have six months to prepare!

Is it just me, or does it seem like years ago since bass season ended. UGH And the bowfin was soooo much bigger than your bass funtimes. Glad you caught one though. Hope you decide to go out on the boat with me some more this yea

Well, we have been approved for a house loan. Construction starts in April. So as all these fishing catalogs come to the door, all I can do is drool. I will definitely fish this year, but not as much and definitely won't be spending much money till next year. My countdown is for the year after the house is done and all that will matter is fishing, fishing, fishing.
